Cathal Connolly
Alltech Ireland

Cathal commenced working for Alltech in 1994, where he carried out research for his M.Sc. He worked in the Quality and Assurance department for two years in Ireland and the USA. He then commenced working for the Alcohol Fermentation Laboratory in the US office from 1996 to 1999.

Since then he has worked at the Research laboratory in Dunboyne on methods for the analysis and characterisation of trace elements, especially Sel-Plex and Bioplex minerals on which he based his Ph.D.

"To work on a particular project, produce innovative solutions for immediate problems facing the industry and to see those solutions successfully implemented, gives me tremendous satisfaction".
